But they got a special treat, as I was able to provide a digital projector and subwoofer-equipped speakers for my laptop, so the sound and video were better than ever.  (In particular, the subtitles were a lot more readable, at higher resolution and larger size!)<\/p>\n<p>As scheduled, <cite>Hellsing<\/cite> #10, <cite>RahXephon<\/cite> #9, <cite>Hikaru no Go<\/cite> #6, <cite>Haibane Renmei<\/cite> #9, and <cite>Galaxy Angel<\/cite> #9 were shown.<\/p>\n<p>Afterward I showed the opening credit sequences for, and gave brief descriptions of, <cite>D.N.Angel<\/cite>, <cite>Naruto<\/cite>, <cite>Scrapped Princess<\/cite>, <cite>Ghost in the Shell<\/cite>, <cite>Narue no Sekai<\/cite>, <cite>E&#8217;s Otherwise<\/cite>, <cite>Last Exile<\/cite>, <cite>Kino no Tabi<\/cite>, <cite>Kaleido Star<\/cite>, <cite>Abenobashi Mahou Shoutengai<\/cite>, <cite>Uchuu no Stellvia<\/cite>, and <cite>Full Moon wo Sagashite<\/cite>.  In my personal opinion, the best of this crop are <cite>Scrapped Princess<\/cite> and <cite>Last Exile<\/cite> (and I&#8217;m also enjoying <cite>Kaleido Star<\/cite> and <cite>Uchuu no Stellvia<\/cite>), but once <cite>Hellsing<\/cite> and <cite>Haibane Renmei<\/cite> are over (in a few meetings), we&#8217;ll put it to a vote (perhaps after a reshowing of these intros, and any others that members opt to provide).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Attendance was light today; other than Kris and myself, only two members were present.
