Longmont Anime Club update
I apologize that the site has gotten stale — been pretty busy with Real Life. The Longmont Anime Club is still active, though! We are not meeting tomorrow, July 17, but we are meeting on Saturday, July 31, from 1:15 to 3:45 PM at the library.
We’re also discussing some replacement series, as the membership decided to take a break from Naruto and Bleach. We’ve added Baccano to the lineup, with Angelic Layer as a backup when we have a younger audience, and are also discussing:

- Daughter of 20 Faces
- Uchuu no Stellvia
- Shounen Onmyouji
- Durarara!!
- Kimagure Orange Road
- Amatsuki
- Devil May Cry
- Pandora Hearts
- Ah My Goddess OVA

Meeting Reminder: Aug. 25, 2007 — 5th Anniversary!!!
Hi all,
just to remind you all, our next club meeting is this Saturday, Aug. 25, from 1:15 to 3:45pm at the Library. Also, since this is our 5th anniversary celebration, get ready for special programming options and, of course, pizza!!!
Feel free to bring snacks or sodas to share if you like, and of course, cosplay is welcome, from casual randomness (furry ears, etc) to all-out costumed insanity! (Technically, it always is, but our anniversary meetings seem to get more of it, and we usually have a camera on hand to record the proceedings!!)

bad news, and a possible alternative…
Hi all,
Unfortunately, scheduling issues have thwarted us again; due to the annual Library book sale, no meeting rooms were available and this weekend’s meeting has therefore been cancelled. The next meeting is officially scheduled for Saturday, May 19. Hope to see you there!
In the meantime, would anyone be interested in getting together for one of our informal club lunches on one of the free weekends? If so, let us know when you’re available and we’ll make arrangements from there…

Also, as I’m sure many of you are aware, we have been contacted by the Longmont Times-Call for an article about the club. If any of you would like to be interviewed about the club or about anime, please contact either Mark or myself and we’ll pass along your contact info.
In addition, a photographer from the paper may be attending an upcoming meeting (one of the March meetings is most likely) to get photos of the group for the article. If you would like to participate, please let us know (also, if you would prefer not to be photographed or interviewed, let us know as well and we’d be happy to honor your request).
Thanks for your responses and participation and we look forward to hearing your thoughts on this exciting opportunity for the Club!

Report on January 23 and February 6 meetings
I’m getting behind in the meeting reports, so I’m going to skip the episode summaries this time. If I get a lot of free time, I’ll go back and fill them in… but don’t hold your breath.
At the January 23 meeting, as scheduled, we showed Naruto #30, Full Metal Alchemist #14, Panda-Z #14, Hikaru no Go #39, Sweet Valerian #6, Bleach #3, and Galaxy Angel III #7-8.
At the February 6 meeting, we had over a dozen people in attendance! As scheduled, we showed Naruto #31, Full Metal Alchemist #15, Panda-Z #15, Hikaru no Go #40, Bleach #4, and Galaxy Angel III #9-10.
Next meeting will be a week from today, Sunday February 20. See you there!
